DPhG-Jahrestagung 2025 / Annual meeting

Dear colleagues,

We cordially invite you to join us at the upcoming DPhG Annual Meeting in Freiburg. This is a unique opportunity to network with dedicated colleagues and to be part of the vibrant community of pharmaceutical scientists in Germany.

With our theme “Sustainability as a Challenge for the Pharmaceutical Sciences”, the DPhG shows that it is aware of its responsibility for the continuous development of scientific and holistic pharmacy. Sustainable pharmacy is the simultaneous, equal and dynamic combination of pharmacological, ecological, economic, social and cultural aspects in the pharmaceutical sciences with the aim of enabling effective treatment of diseases for the present and future generations. In Freiburg and elsewhere, various aspects of sustainable pharmacy have already been developed and integrated into research and teaching. Ecological aspects, such as the recovery of unused drugs and faulty batches, or the development of production processes based on renewable raw materials, are being developed, as are sociological and ethical aspects in a One-Health approach.

The dramatic developments since the beginning of the year show the crucial role that economic aspects play in the healthcare system. This will be reflected in the opening lecture by one of the leading German economists, Professor Lars Feld, Director of the Walter Eucken Institute in Freiburg. During the meeting, you may not only gain new insights into the evolving discipline of sustainable pharmacy. As in previous years, you can also expect excellent keynote lectures, hot topic sessions and workshops covering all pharmaceutical disciplines.

Registration fees:

 You are very welcome to share your studies in a Poster Presentation or in an Oral Presentation. The abstract submission is expected to start in May.
Please note that you cannot submit your abstract without registration for the conference.

Promotion of Young Talents

1) Free tickets for pharmacy students in the main study programme or Master's students

We are awarding 20 free tickets for the annual meeting 2025 in Freiburg.

Requirements:

• Pharmacy students in the main study programme or Master's students
• Application with a short statement (3 sentences maximum) on why you would like to attend the annual meeting (by email to info@dphg.de)
• Deadline for submissions 30.05.2025

Please note that you must cover your own travel and accommodation costs! The fees for the annual meeting and participation in the welcome reception are free of charge. Of course you can submit your posters/abstracts if you participate.

2) Travel allowance

This year, we are offering students and doctoral students who actively contribute to the annual meeting a travel allowance based on the distance to the conference venue.

Requirements for receiving the travel allowance:

• Active contribution to the conference with a poster as first or co-author
• No reimbursement of travel expenses by the university or another source
• For doctoral students: written confirmation from the work group leader that the travel expenses will not be covered by the university budget or another source
